Dorothy S. Sharp, age 95, wife of the late John W. "Jack" Sharp of East Coventry Township, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Pottstown. Born on April 13, 1928 in Devault, PA, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Bessie (Buller) Segner.

Mrs. Sharp was a graduate of Tredyffrin-Easttown High School. She spent a majority of her adult life as a homemaker, tending to her family and her home. She gave them all of her love and affection, supporting them in their school functions and at their sporting events through high school and college. She continued this love as her granddaughter Kim was growing up. She was a member of the PTA of East Coventry Elementary School. She also served as the President of the OJR Music League, and she was an instrumental part of helping organize the first Cavalcade of Bands at Owen J. Roberts High School.

As her children became adults, Mrs. Sharp, along with her husband, would go on to own and operate Sharp's Agway Service in Pughtown for over 18 years. Having been a member for 70 years, Mrs. Sharp joined the Pughtown Baptist Church in 1954. She was a Deaconess, Sunday School Superintendent, and volunteer during Vacation Bible School. Following the merge of the church, at the age of 93, Mrs. Sharp was baptized at Branch Life Church in 2022.

Mrs. Sharp loved being with her family, friends, and adopted family members. She enjoyed playing cards, with friend groups on Friday and Saturday nights and her family on Sundays. Along with her husband, she enjoyed attending Penn State football games and supporting OJR football and wrestling. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning, music, and dancing. She sang her heart out to the praises of the Lord.

Mrs. Sharp is survived by two daughters, Ann Sharp and Gail Sharp; one granddaughter, Kimberly Finarelli, partner of Roxsee Stover; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her celebration of life at the Branch Life Church, 780 Pughtown Road, Spring City, PA 19475 on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Park. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received in the church from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Branch Life Church at the address above.
