Dorothy Jean (Campbell) Tyson, age 97, wife of the late Paul C. Tyson, formerly of Kutz Drive, North Coventry, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in the Sanatoga Center. Born on May 17, 1926, in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Elsie May (Radcliffe) and Lewis M. Campbell.
Jean received her degree as a medical technician from Larson Junior College in New Haven, CT and had been employed at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia until she married in 1946. While Paul worked for the family business, Tyson Pontiac - Cadillac in Pottstown, Jean became a homemaker and took care of her family and home.
She had been a member of an investment club and enjoyed antiquing, which ultimately led her son Scott into the antique business. Jean was always there for her family and friends and was there for them whenever it was needed, especially when it came to help with health issues.
Jean is survived by her son: Scott, husband of Wendy Tyson; grandson: Justin Tyson; and great-granddaughter: Leia Tyson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Donald Campbell.
