Dorothy M. (Knipe) Wartman, age 85, wife of the late John W. Wartman, Jr., of Allentown, PA, formerly of Royersford, PA, died Saturday evening, April 26, 2014 in the Phoebe Home in Allentown. Born in Limerick Township, PA, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Rilla (Pence) Knipe. She attended the Christian Bible Academy school in Canyonville Oregon. Mrs. Wartman was devoted to her family all of her life. She was a member of the Holiness Christian Church (now Wesleyan Christian Church) in Pottstown, and the West Chester Church of the Nazarene. She was employed in the cafeteria at Henderson Senior High School, and the Nazarene Preschool Center, both in West Chester

Mrs. Wartman is survived by two sons: John C., husband of Brenda M. (Moses) Wartman, of Downingtown, PA; Richard G. Wartman, of Whitehall, PA; two grandchildren: Stephen T. Wartman and Katherine N. Wartman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Friday morning, May 2, 2014 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Gerber, Sr. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Parker Ford, PA. Friends will be received from 10-11am Friday morning at the funeral home.
