Obituary

Dorothy Ann Wilson, age 87, wife of the late Robert Wilson, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 in the Brandywine Living at Upper Providence. Born on September 16, 1930 in West Allis, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Anne (Zartler) Fischer.

Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Mercy High School in Milwaukee, WI and attended Marquette University. Dorothy was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, where she was active for many years in the choir and as a Eucharistic minister. She was a volunteer for over 45 years for Meals on Wheels of Northampton County, even serving others younger than herself. Dot enjoyed bowling, and was proud of the fact that for many years she would recycle, even when others weren't.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by seven children, Paul D. (Mary Donchez) Wilson of Newton, MA, Steven J. (Regina) Wilson of Laurel, MD, Mary S. (James Algeo) Wilson of Royersford, PA, Nancy M. Wilson of Frederick, MD, James L. (Deborah) Wilson of Philadelphia, PA, Joan K. (Geoffrey Carson) Wilson of Henrico, VA, and Thomas D. (Barby Trofinoff) Wilson of Manhattan, NY; twelve grandchildren, Andrew Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Allison (Jacob) Burke, Patrick (Sabrina Anwar) Wilson, Shannon (Peter Delago) Algeo, Sean Algeo, Anna Algeo, Sarah Algeo, James Wilson Jr., Evan Wilson, Justine Wilson, and Daniel Wilson; two great-grandsons, Owen J. and Caleb J. Burke; and one brother, Roger Fischer of West Allis, WI. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by one son, Mark R. Wilson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass at the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:45 am. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Kravatz. Burial will be held in the Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Friends will be received from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Friday at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 or on Saturday morning from 9:45 am - 10:45 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Meals on Wheels of Northampton County, 4240 Fritch Drive, Bethlehem, PA 18080.
