Douglas D. Bowne, age 73, husband of Linda E. (Cooper) Bowne of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. Born on January 6, 1949 in Staten Island, he was a son of the late Robert and Alice (Dawson) Bowne.

Mr. Bowne graduated high school in Staten Island, NY. He went on to further his education by attending Pinebrook Junior College, Fort Wayne Bible College, and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, earning his Bachelor's degree. He retired after more than 30 years working as a production manager for the KenCrest Services Company in Pottstown. Most recently, he had been working as a transportation aide for TransNet in Pottstown.

Mr. Bowne accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of nine while attending Victory Valley Camp in Zionsville, PA. Since 1970, he has been a faithful member of the Graterford Bible Fellowship Church, and served there in various ways throught the years as an elder, Sunday School Superintendent, and worship team member. As a dedicated Christian, he was devoted to God and sharing his testimony as often as he could.

Mr. Bowne enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and exploring the Pennsylvania State Parks during family vacations. He enjoyed singing and reading, and especially loved and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife of 52 years, Mr. Bowne is survived by three children: Kristel, wife of Terry Parrish of Pottstown, PA, Kolleen Toby Jackson of Pottstown, PA, and Stephen, husband of Abigail Bowne of Philadelphia, PA; eight grandchildren: Sara (Charis), Paul, Timothy, Simeon, Clay, Josiah, Serenity, and Ahzir; two siblings: Kathleen, wife of Robert Quinn of Staten Island, NY and Joseph, husband of Theresa Bowne of Davenport, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two siblings: William Bowne and Robert Bowne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Graterford Bible Fellowship Church, 693 Church Road, Graterford, PA on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Stephen Bowne. Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA. Friends will be received on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA or on Monday morning from 9:30 am - 10:45 am in the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Victory Valley Camp, 7352 Salem Bible Church Road, Zionsville, PA 18092.
