Douglas A. Carson

Douglas A. Carson, age 59, husband of 35 years to Donna L. (Wurtz) Carson, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 in the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Philadelphia. Born on September 17, 1961 in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of M. Patricia (Martyn) Carson, of Audubon and the late Thomas A. Carson, Jr. Doug was a faithful follower of Jesus. He led his family with a servant's heart and quiet integrity. He humbly worked to exemplify his faith through his actions on a daily basis. Doug faithfully prayed that those around him would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Doug was employed for 31 years as Maintenance Foreman for Spring-Ford School District and had the knowledge to fix almost anything; and anything else he'd learn how. Doug loved spending time with his family, walking his dog, reading to his grandchildren and riding his bicycle. He was dedicated to his parents and loved visiting and caring for his mother and late father. He had a goofy sense of humor and was skilled with corny dad jokes. He had an immense passion for muscle cars, enjoyed time spent attending car shows with his late father, and still missed his Dodge Challenger. Doug was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved long days on his Harley and trips on the trike with his wife. They also enjoyed monthly rides with the Line Lexington Mennonite Church. He was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church, Limerick, where he was involved in the Men's Group and Life Groups alongside his wife. In addition to his wife Donna and mother, Doug is survived by his daughters: Rebecca Cummins, wife of Aaron of Royersford and Rachel Wisniewski, wife of Pete of Lancaster; grandchildren: Aiden and Lydia Cummins; siblings: Glenn Carson, husband of Pat of Mt. Holly Springs, Cheryl Lewine, and Laurie Hill, wife of Marty Fisher of Birdsboro; and many nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services will be held privately for Doug's family. Private interment will be in the Central Schwenkfelder Garden of Memories, Lansdale. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
