Douglas Thorum Denithorne, 56, of Pottstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013, in the Sanatoga Center. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late James K. and Grace L. (Thorum) Denithorne.

Mr. Denithorne was a 1975 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and had been an aide at the former Pennhurst State Hospital. A peaceful man, he loved sailing, fishing, crabbing and enjoyed time spent at the shore, especially Ocean City, NJ. He was also an avid reader.

Mr. Denithorne is survived by his brothers, Bruce J. Denithorne, of Boyertown, John C. Denithorne, of Willow Grove, and James K. Denithorne, of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received at Brownback's United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, Spring City, PA, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Stryjak. Memorial contributions may be made to Creative Health Services, 11 Robinson Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
