Douglass C. Kutz, age 59, husband of JoAnn M. (Miller) Kutz, of East Coventry, PA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at home. Born in Douglassville, PA, he was a son of S. Albert and the late Judy A. (Orner) Kutz. Mr. Kutz was a 1973 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Statistics in 1977. He was the co-owner of Glocker and Company in Pottstown. He was accredited as a CPCU, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. He worked with Glocker for over 37 years. Doug coached soccer for 19 years, was a former member of the OJR School Board, and held multiple positions in the church. Doug passed away after a heroic two year fight with Pancreatic Cancer.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mr. Kutz is survived by four children, Eric S. Kutz of East Coventry, Daniel T., husband of Christy (Bartha) Kutz of Arizona, Stephen A. Kutz of Stowe, and Allison M. Kutz of East Coventry; and two siblings, Victoria, wife of Stoney Yerk of Pottstown and Wynn, husband of Suzanne Kutz of Williamsport.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Calvary Fellowship Church of Downingtown, 95 West Devon Drive, Downingtown, PA 19355 on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at 3:30 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Edleman. Burial will be held privately in the Pughtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-3:15PM Saturday afternoon at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made for the Mission work in Senegal, West Africa, payable to “Calvary Fellowship Church” with Senegal mission written in memo section at the above address for the Church.
