? Duane E. "Duke" Miller, 73, husband of the late Marian "Polly" (Hoose) Miller, of Mont Clare, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008, in the Sanatoga Center.? Born in Pittston, Luzerne County, PA, he was a son of the late George and Gladys (Mainwaring) Miller.?
He was employed as a pressman at Container Corp., in Port Providence, and served aboard the USS Burdo in the United States Navy during the Korean War.? Duke was a member of the Pottstown Quoit Club, the Phoenixville VFW Post 1564, the Phoenixville Moose Lodge No. 1273, the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co., and the K-Bar Club, a life member of the Friendship Fire Co., Phoenixville, retired Fire Chief of the Mont Clare Fire Co., and past Governor of the Phoenixville American Legion Post 482.?
Duke is survived by step-daughters Gayle Eddy, of Glenmoore, PA and Connie Greene, of Rome, PA, cousin June and Bill McDade of Shannondell, Audubon, two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four great-grandsons, one aunt, and several cousins.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home,? Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 8 PM.?
