Obituary

Duane V. Duncan Sr., 72, husband of Mary Ellen (Tallon) Duncan, of Pottstown, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010, in his residence. Born in Pulaski, Virginia, he was a son of the late Gilbert L. and Mary Margaret (Collins) Duncan.

Mr. Duncan served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a forklift operator at Penco Products in Oaks. An avid RC airplane builder and flyer, he was a member of the Swamp Creek Outfitters RC Flying Club and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandson.

In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Mr. Duncan is survived by his son, Duane V. Duncan Jr., husband of Amber A. (Brendlinger) Duncan, of Royersford, one grandson, Braedon M. Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard and Gilbert Duncan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Donald B. Eisenhauer. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Duane V.
