Edith V. (Detterer) Ferenchak, age 93, wife of the late John A. Ferenchak, Sr, of Blue Bell,PA formerly of Swedeland, PA died early Wednesday morning, September 17th, 2014 in her home. Born in Norristown, PA she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Anna (Parker) Detterer. Mrs. Ferenchak was a 1938 graduate of the Norristown High School. She was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows RC Church in Bridgeport where she served on the ladies guild, and the choir.

Mrs. Ferenchak is survived by four children: Kathleen A., wife of James J. DiSanto, of Plymouth Meeting, PA; Mary Ellen, wife of the late Joseph M. Miscavage, of Royersford, PA; Janet M., wife of the late Richard F. DeSante, Blue Bell, PA; Frank A., husband of Jo L. Ferenchak, of Schwenksville, PA; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2.5 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Ferenchak was pre-deceased by three sons: John A. Jr., husband of Trudy, of Tucson, AZ; Matthew J., husband of Barbara Ferenchak, of Renfrew, PA; Harry W. Ferenchak.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Helena's Roman Catholic Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Augustine's Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:15AM Saturday morning at the Church. . In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Patrician Society, 121 East Chestnut Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
