Edith M. (Briel) Spencer, 80, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Royersford. Born on December 4, 1937 in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Eva (Wentzel) and Lester Briel.

Edith was employed as a knitter for the former Spring City Knitting Mill. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed crafting while living at Parkhouse. She had a great sense of humor and managed to keep everyone in line.

Edith is survived by her sons: Darryl L., husband of Cindy Spencer, of Shoemakersville, Brian K., husband of Jean Spencer, of Pottstown and Dale A., husband of Debbie Spencer; of Sassamansville; grandchildren: Derrick, husband of Kayla Spencer and Amber Spencer; and sisters: Esther Bickhart, of Bradenton, FL, Ruth Rick, of Gilbertsville and Sandy Brewer, of Royersford. She was preceded in death by longtime companion: Pete Chuck; and siblings: Eva Briel, Ethel Rick, Eleanor Filippo, Lester Briel and Adam Briel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Janet B. Gratz, CSM. Interment will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Edith's name to the American Cancer Society, 1620 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
