Edward W. Barron, age 89, husband of Ethel E. (Frisco) Barron, of Phoenixville, PA, died early Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Edward and Kathryn (Tinney) Barron. He was a 1938 graduate of the Phoenixville High School. He also attended the Strayer Business School in Philadelphia. A veteran, he served for the U. S. Navy during World War II on the USS Amsterdam. He then worked as the Chief Commissary Officer at the former Valley Forge Army Hospital. He then worked at the Phoenix Steel Plant in Phoenixville. He was a very active member of the St. Ann's R.C. Church in Phoenixville. He served as a usher and was a member of the Holy Name Society at the Church. He was also a member of the Knight of Columbus, Council 1374, Phoenixville.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Mr. Barron is survived by five children; Dennis J., husband of Arlene Barron, of Colorado, Gary E., husband of Susan Doebling, of Phoenixville, Tricia B., wife of John Allen, of Phoenixville, Melanie B. Romania, of Spring City, MaryAnn, wife of Thomas Mirabile, III, of Spring City, eleven grandchildren; Kevin, Tim, Jamie, Justin, Devon, Chelsea, Lauren, Sam, Dominic, Amanda, Adam and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Barron was pre-deceased by one granddaughter; Sydney Rose Romania, and two sisters; Eleanor Buckley, Nancy Connelly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the St. Ann's Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday morning, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will be in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday evening or from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Monday morning at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter, 209 Emmett Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
