Edward Amos Bauer, age 81, loving husband of Patricia (Gowler) Bauer, of Norristown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home. Born on January 1, 1938 in Royersford, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Amos and Carrie (Rosenberger) Bauer.

Edward was a devoted parishioner of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Norristown for Many years, and would organize church events and was also the Deacon of the Church; He also attended Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford whenever he had the opportunity. He would later go on to dedicated 20 years of service to his country in the U.S. Air Force and would also coach the basketball team during his time in the service. Edward also worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 23 years before his retirement; In his spare time Edward enjoyed watching stock car racing, and was a baseball enthusiast and loved every aspect of the game. He would also travel to California by train once a year to see close friends and tour local museums and libraries; But most of all he loved spending time with his family, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his loving wife, Edward is survived by his two loving daughters, Susan Bauer, and Linda (Robert) Walters; He is also survived by his four loving grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Rebecca, and Kaitlin.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main Street at Sixth Avenue, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Janelle L. Krais. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Wednesday at the church.
