Obituary

Edward J. Naughton Jr., 88, husband of the late Evelyn M. (Carlton) Naughton, of Glenmoore, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in the Golden Living Center. Born in Conshohocken, he was a son of the late Edward J. Sr. and Elizabeth (Earl) Naughton.

Mr. Naughton served in the United States Army during World War II and received an Associate's degree from Ursinus College. He was employed as a metallurgical supervisor for Allen Wood Steel and then as a realtor for J. Puleo and Sons Real Estate.

He was a story and joke teller and was a Phillies fan. An avid golfer, Edward lived in Anderson, SC, where he played golf daily. His last hole-in-one occurred when he was 85 years old.

Mr. Naughton is survived by his children: Eileen M. Naughton wife of Robert S. Russell, of Phoenixville, Edward R. husband of Melissa L. Naughton, of Madison, CT, and Michael J. Naughton, of Phoenixville; sister: Margaret Seiders; grandchildren: Edward J. and Julianne Naughton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Elizabeth Cassel, Jean Graham, and Robert E. Naughton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
