Edward L. Phillips, age 68, husband of Katrina A. (Huber) Phillips, of Phoenixville, PA, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on September 22, 1949 in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of the late Edward W. and Janice (Parker) Phillips. He was a 1967 graduate of Phoenixville High School. Mr. Phillips worked in the mortgage industry for many years.
Edward had great love for his family and enjoyed time spent with his loved ones, including his 2 rescue dogs, Jemma and Baxter. Along with his love for his family, he also enjoyed listing to classic rock music and reading historical novels. Being a Philadelphia sports fan led him to coaching and refereeing youth basketball at the Phoenixville YMCA for 12 years. After Edward's retirement he donated his time to Meals on Wheels for East Pikeland Township.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Mr. Phillips is survived by Daughter, Leann K. Phillips, fiancée of Thomas Michael DiNapoli, Jr. residing in Coatesville, PA; Son, E. Robert Phillips, husband of Abigail residing in Cleveland, OH; Two Sisters, Susan, wife of Thomas Ivens residing in Gilbertsville, PA, Kimberly, wife of John Unger residing in Birdsboro, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Washington Memorial Chapel, Rt. 23, Valley Forge, PA on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge, PA. Friends will be received from 10:15 am - 11:00 am Friday at the Chapel.
