Edward G. Tefft, age 89, husband of Mary Anne (Kennedy) Tefft of Royersford, PA passed away on January 30, 2018 at Manor Care in King of Prussia. Born on January 5, 1929 in Rumford, RI, he was a son of the late Robert and Agnes (McCoart) Tefft.

Mr. Tefft was a graduate of Brown University, and worked his entire 38 year career as an electrical engineer with General Electric, primarily in Auburn, NY, where he and his wife raised their family. Faith and family were most important to him, and he was an active member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford. Ed volunteered much of his time. Three volunteer activities most dear to his heart were the Parish Library, Pro-Life Activities, and Mary Mother of Captives. He enjoyed painting and drawing pen and ink sketches of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Ed is survived by four children, Anne (Franklin) Hecht of Latham, NY, Carol Tefft of Collegeville, PA Linda Tefft (Ray Maldonado) of Latham, NY, and Edward P. (Annmarie) Tefft of Collegeville, PA; grandchildren, Amy (John) Heinze, Daniel (Jennifer) Hecht, Timothy Hecht, Brian (Beth) Tefft, Sarah, Cecelia, and Eric Tefft; step granddaughter, Judy Maldonado; and great-grandchildren, Johnny and Matthew Heinze, Phoebe and Benjamin Hecht, and Makayla Warner. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary, and two brothers, Robert Tefft, M.D. and Rev. William Tefft, O.P.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Burial will be held in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends will be received at the Church from 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM.
