Edwin G. Dahl Jr., age 79, husband of Diane E. (White) Dahl of Charlestown Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Paoli Hospital. Born on January 25, 1944, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Marie G. (MacNeil) and Edwin G. Dahl Sr.

A graduate of Lincoln High School in Northeast Philadelphia, Edwin also graduated from Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia. He was a talented artist who was wonderful at painting with oil and watercolor, enjoyed woodworking, and loved creating with his hands.

Edwin was a Vice-President in the art department of the Chilton Company. He could never sit still, and used his creative energy working tirelessly on many projects around the house. He also liked collecting firearms and knives and he had a love of history, particularly Western nostalgia, including cowboys and Indians.

Above all, was the love Edwin had for his family. An Eagle Scout himself, he absolutely cherished the time he spent as a Scout Leader and trips taken with his son, Matt. He loved his grandchildren so much that when their names were even mentioned, his whole face lit up. He had one day hoped to dance at his granddaughter, Delaney's wedding. Even with all that Edwin had endured, he was such a strong person. He was immensely loved and will be sorely missed by his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 49 years, Edwin is survived by his son: Matthew E. Dahl and his wife, Patricia of Morgantown; and grandchildren: Delaney and Matthew Dahl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dolores Littleton. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
