Eileen Mabelle (Simmons) Fuchs, age 93, wife of the late Alfred Louis Fuchs, Jr., of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Dock Terrace, Lansdale, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (MacAlpine) and Roy Jackson Simmons, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Eric Reed; and her brother: Roy Simmons.
Eileen had been employed for many years as an executive secretary at the United Way of Chester County, until her retirement.
Prior to moving to Hatfield, PA, Eileen had been a longtime member for over 50 years, at Reformed Presbyterian Church of West Chester, where she had served in various positions throughout the years, including pianist and organist for many years.
She had a passion for music and for people. Along with Al, she loved to socialize, be with friends and family and together they opened their home and ministered to missionaries whenever they were stateside.
Her life was centered around serving her Lord and Savior in any way that she could, especially in helping and serving others. Although she will be sorely missed, she is now whole and is rejoicing and worshiping her Lord!
Eileen is survived by her children: Cheryl, wife of Rev. Stephen Wilson, of Honey Brook, Gregory, husband of Deborah Reed, of Galena, MD and Donna, wife of Drew Dzedzy, of Schwenksville; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Eileen will be laid to rest with her husband privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eileen's name to the Living Branches Foundation, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, PA 19446. Please memo: "Sharing Fund - The Willows."
