Eleanor J. (Umble) Brown, age 82, wife of the late Harvey S. Brown, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in the Hickory House Nursing Home. Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Carrie (Whitman) Umble.

Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. She worked for many years as a supervisor at Betsy Ross Candy Factory, but was later employed by Deluxe Check and Green Tree Office Plaza. She enjoyed weekend day trips to Lancaster County, and could never pass a yard sale without stopping.

Mrs. Brown is survived by one daughter, Anita, wife of Herbert Hamilton III of Elverson; two granddaughters, Carrie, wife of Keith Seningen and Samantha, wife of Tom Bell; six great grandchildren, Richard, Maura, Kirsten, Hunter, Ashlyn, and Kayla; one great-great granddaughter Aubrey; sister-in-law Mary Jane Umble, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Thursday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John Bletsch. Burial will follow in the Willistown Friends Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 9:30-11:00 AM.
