Obituary

On August 25, 2009, Eleanor "Jo" F. (Bishop) Lewis, 77, of Oaks, was called home. She was the wife of the late Samuel "Bud" A. Lewis to whom she was married fifty years. She is survived by her two children, Pamela Yeagley, of Trappe and Kerry Lewis, of Harleysville and six grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Dorothy Pennock, of Quakertown.

Eleanor "Jo" was born and raised in Oaks, a daughter of the late George and Frances (Smith) Bishop. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She was a member of Faith Church of Worcester, where she had served on the Deacon Committee and as the Church Librarian. She had a deep love for God and her family. She also loved animals, was an avid birdwatcher, and enjoyed sewing and crafting.

She was also a member of the Goshenhoppen Historians.
A memorial service of worship to God, celebrating the life of Eleanor F. Lewis will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11 AM at Faith Church of Worcester. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM. A reception will follow the service in the Church Lounge. Burial will be private for family at Green Tree Cemetery. Remembrances may be made in her memory to Faith Church of Worcester, 1341 Quarry Hall Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
