Elfrida B. Goetzenberger, 85, of Audubon, PA, formerly of Strafford, PA, died on Thursday, April 4th, 2013, at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester.

She was the loving wife of Ralph L. Goetzenberger, Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Springfield, MA she was the daughter of the late Richard S. Bettes and Elfrida Harmon Bettes.

Elfrida was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, MA and she received her B.A. from Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. Elfrida was a volunteer at the Bryn Mawr Hospital for many years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oaks, PA.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Susan M., wife of Donald F. North, of Coatesville, PA; one sister, Clara Ellen VanDorn, of Ironwood, Michigan; three grandchildren, Stephanie A. North, Samantha M. Gray, and James M. Goetzenberger; two great-grandchildren, Taylor M. Murphy and Mason T. Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen, and a brother, Richard S. Bettes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held privately in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
