Elizabeth M. Dengler, 91, wife of the late George G. Dengler, of East Coventry, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born on August 26, 1925 in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Isaac D. and Cora (Miller) Bean.
Betty was a member of the former Spring City High School Class of 1944 and had been employed as a secretary for the former Jones Motor Co., in Spring City. She had been an active member of the First United Church of Christ of Royersford.
Betty had been a caregiver for her parents and handicapped brother. She loved to entertain and have family around her. An avid golfer, she and her husband had been members of the Spring-Ford Country Club.
Mrs. Dengler is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Earl Bean, Isaac J. Bean, Mary Marlow, Willis Bean, Amos Bean and Joseph Bean.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Good Shepherd Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor Kenneth Bean and Rev. Peter J. Clarke. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:15 am at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1620 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, American Heart Association, 5455 N.
