Elizabeth J. "Betty" Miller, 81, of Royersford, and formerly of the Poconos passed away at Phoenixville Hospital on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 after a recent illness. She was the wife of the late Leonard I. Miller, who died in 2006.
She was born in Linfield to the late Frank and Alice (Wampole) Maute. She and her late husband owned and operated Our Place in the Poconos for many years until selling the business in 1990.
Betty attended Linfield United Church of Christ where she also taught Sunday School. She was a talented painter and also loved playing Pinnacle and Bridge. Betty was a Den Mother and member of the Red Hat Ladies and Betty Club.
She is survived by her children: Lisa Y. Buchert and husband John, of Gilbertsville, Linda B. Rega and husband Paul, of Royersford, Greg V. Miller, of Promised Land, PA and Leonard R. Miller and wife Diana, of Linfield; grandchildren: Leonard C. Miller, Melissa Cummings, Melinda Touhey, Paul S. Rega Jr., Elizabeth Rega, Aaron J. Buchert and Matthew I. Buchert; great-grandchildren: Alicia and Joshua Cummings, Gabriella Miller and Meghan and Ryan Touhey. There are several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Ruth A. Chartier. Calling time is from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Linfield UCC, 25 Reformed Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
