Elizabeth "Betsy" (Lawrie) Sheaffer, 87, wife of Isaac M. Sheaffer Jr., of Audubon, formerly Hershey's Mill, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the Meadows at Shannondell. Born on April 22, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Weston) Lawrie.

Mrs. Sheaffer was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School For Girls and had been employed by Bell Telephone for two years prior to her marriage. Betsy enjoyed dancing and singing, and while living in Hershey's Mill, she was a participant with the Hershey's Mill Players, a theater group for musical shows. She loved time spent with family in Ocean City, NJ.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Mrs. Sheaffer is survived by children: Susan E. Sheaffer, wife of Richard Malecki, of Newfield, NY and David W. Sheaffer, of Palo Alto, CA; and two grandchildren: Nicholas and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her brother, William N. Lawrie Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:30 am at Paoli Presbyterian Church Chapel, 225 S. Valley Road, Paoli. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Jeffrey M. Conway. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at the Church.
