Elizabeth J. "Betty" Thomas, age 89, wife of Charles F. "Charlie" Thomas Sr. of the Sanatoga Ridge Community, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in the Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.

Mrs. Thomas was a long time resident of Limerick Township. Born on October 12, 1933 in Linfield, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Mary (Berkey) Stoudt. Mrs. Thomas was a 1951 graduate of Royersford High School. She worked in the offices of Kinsey Distillery in Linfield before her time in food service for Spring-Ford Junior High. Her main priority, however, was the time she spent raising her family and tending to her home.

Mrs. Thomas was a Deacon and Elder at Linfield United Church of Christ, where she also helped with countless fundraisers and events that the church hosted. She had a caring disposition, and always wanted focus and attention on others rather than herself.

Mrs. Thomas was an avid gardener and reader, and she enjoyed completing puzzles. She looked forward to traveling to Maine with her husband, and many bus trips to other destinations. She loved swinging on her porch swing, as well as all her cats, dogs, and animals the family had over the years.

In addition to her husband of 66 years, Mrs. Thomas is survived by three children, Sharon L., wife of Roger Trout, Charles F. "Chuck" Jr., husband of Deb Thomas, and Scott M., husband of Michelle Thomas; six grandchildren, Dylan, husband of Julianne Messer, Jared Messer, Sarah, wife of Jungo Sato, Seth, husband of Rachel Thomas, Phillip Thomas and fiancee Leah Jurik, and Katie, wife of Nick Peifer; two siblings, Ted, husband of Pat Stoudt and Les Stoudt; and three sisters-in-law, Margaret Stoudt, Kay Stoudt, and Virginia Griggers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Ken Stoudt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Linfield United Church of Christ, 25 Reformed Road, Linfield, PA 19468 on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. William Waltz. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Church on Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Linfield United Church of Christ at the address above.
