Elizabeth A. (Rati) Wallace-Collins, 65, wife of Thomas Collins Jr., of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, in the St. Francis Hospital Wilmington, DE. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Rati.
Mrs. Wallace-Collins was formerly employed in Patient Information at Magellan in Great Valley. She was a member of Parkside United Church of Christ in Phoenixville, where she was very active in cooking and baking for events and the Dogwood Fair. She was a fanatical cook and cookbook collector who tried new recipes and specialized in Hungarian foods. She volunteered in Delaware at the Christian Storehouse and the Indian River Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wallace-Collins is survived by two sons, Michael Wallace of Lewes, DE and David Wallace, of Phoenixville, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin Wallace and by her daughter, Audra Wallace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Bradley K. Peronteau, Pastor Parkside United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Elizabeth A. Wallace-Collins Memorial Fund, c/o National Penn Bank, 702 S.
