Elmer L. Kronen, age 82, husband of the late Margaret (Maguire) Kronen, of Pennsburg, PA, formerly of Harleysville, PA and Wilmington, NC, died Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012 in the Pennsburg Manor. Born in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Frederick and Harriet (Abrahamson) Kronenbitter. He attended school in New York and Philadelphia. A veteran, Mr. Kronen served for the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a former soccer coach and loved to play pinochle with his family and friends. Mr. Kronen was also an avid bird watcher and had collected many bird decorations.

Mr. Kronen is survived by two children: Keith M. Kronen and Diane S. Reynolds; four grandchildren: Amy Gersch, Keith B. Kronen, husband of Megan Kronen, Rebecca R. Badman, wife of Jarred Badman, and Gregory L. Kronen; four great-great grandchildren. Mr. Kronen was pre-deceased by one son: Brian L. Kronen, husband of Donna R. (Lutz) Kronen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral service at 1:00 PM on Monday afternoon, October 15th, 2012 at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Sumneytown Pike at Allentown Road, Upper Gwynedd, PA 19446. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
