Elva M. (Curry) Delaney, 86, formerly of Spring-Ford Road, Royersford, passed away on Sunday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe. She was the widow of Joseph M. Delaney.
She was born in Philadelphia to the late Percy and Amelia (Hoffman) Curry. She was employed as a waitress for Gateway Diner, Trooper and Plymouth Cottage. She also worked for ten years and retired in housekeeping at Pennhurst and Norristown State Hospitals. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, sewing and collecting baskets. She also loved spending time with family and friends at the family cabin in the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her children: Beverly, wife of the late Eugene Ronto, of Limerick, Janet, wife of Gilbert Kornoski, of Gilbertsville, Jacqueline, wife of Ralph Trego III, of Spring City, David Delaney and fiancé Deborah Russo, of Sanatoga and John, husband of Susan Delaney, of Royersford; nine grandchildren: Kurt, Michael, Mark, Amanda, Matthew, Christopher, Joseph, Thomas, and Justin and five great-grandchildren: Cody, Brittany, Olivia, Noah and Andrew. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Kelly J. Ronto.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468. Calling time is from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Jon Kline. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories.
