Emily K. Hayes, age 25, cherished daughter of David C. and Kathleen (Harpp) Hayes, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly of North Coventry Township, died in the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, on Sunday morning, February 3, 2008.? Born in Phoenixville, she was a graduate of the Owen J. Roberts High School.? She was very active with the band at Owen J. Roberts, serving as drum major her senior year.? She then graduated from the Messiah College in Grantham, PA, with a nursing degree.? She was working as a nurse on the fourth floor of the Phoenixville Hospital.? Emily was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville her entire life and was involved in children's programs, the youth group, the choir, and volunteered for two mission trips to Kentucky.? She treasured her family time and especially enjoyed vacations spent with her extended family in the Adirondack Mountains each summer.?
In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by one sister; Heather N., wife of Todd Lineburger, of Downingtown, two brothers; Jeremy D., husband of Ruth (Kolle) Hayes, of Harmonyville, PA, Benjamin C., husband of Chelsea (Viola) Hayes, of North Coventry, PA.? four nieces and nephews; Ethan and Anne Lineburger, Jonathan and Brynn Hayes, Maternal Grandfather; Robert Harpp, of Plattsburgh, Paternal Grandmother; Isabelle, wife of Hank Rischoff, of S. Hero, VT, and her companion Jacob Potts, of Phoenixville.? Emily was pre-deceased by her Maternal Grandmother; Nina Harpp, and her Paternal Grandfather; Quentin Hayes.? ??Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday morning, February 9th, 2008 at 11:00AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Bronwyn E. Yocum.? Burial will be held privately in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Harmonyville, PA.? Friends will be received from 9:00 - 10:45AM, Saturday morning at the Church.?
