Emma B. (Brunner) Evans, age 80, wife of the late Robert H. Evans, of Pottstown and Phoenixville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 1, 2021. Born on January 11, 1940 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Minnie L. (Potts) and John W. Brunner, Sr.

A homemaker, Mrs. Evans had been a member of the Salvation Army Church in Pottstown. She was also a member of the Montgomery County Association for the Blind, the Pottstown Area Seniors' Center and had been a volunteer with the Salvation Army in Pottstown. Most importantly, Emma had a great love for family and was a foster grandparent.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her children: Laura E. Perrymond, of Pottstown, Rose M. Orfield-Geake, wife of Joseph Geake, of Quakertown, Robin Lynne Shafer, companion of Kevin Roberts, of Pottstown, Leonard F., husband of Patty Evans, of South Coventry and Michael E., husband of Deborah Evans, of Douglassville; eleven grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; brother: Harry L., husband of Joann Brunner, of Gilbertsville; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by a brother: John W. Brunner, Jr.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the viewing and funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 12:30 pm at Morris Cemetery, 427 Nutt Road, Phoenixville. Officiating will be Major Joan Pierce. Memorial contributions may be made in Emma's name to the Salvation Army, 137 King Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
