Eric A. Solomon

Eric A. Solomon, 62, husband of Sonia (Melville) Solomon, of Douglassville, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2016 in his residence. Born on July 5, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of Lillian (Knecht) Solomon of North Miami Beach, FL and the late Jerome Solomon. Eric was employed as a Division Vice President for AIG Financial Distributors, where he was loved by all of his friends and colleagues. He was always willing to help whenever and wherever he could. While battling cancer, Eric was the recipient of the "Wholesaler of the Year Award" for three of the last four years. If Eric wasn't working, his life revolved around his family. He loved the outdoors and camping, taking yearly camping trips with his brother and cousins. He enjoyed the mountains of North Carolina and summers spent with family in Ocean City, NJ. He was always there for everyone and offered his support in any way possible. Eric never missed a show, play, event, or milestone for any of his children. The light of his life was his granddaughter, Chloe, who was the sparkle of his eye and the reason he fought so hard. She made him smile; even on the tough days. It was Eric's comic relief that always left people with a smile on their face. He loved humor and could always be counted on for that corny joke. Eric was a simple man who enjoyed the little things in life, especially chocolate, smooth jazz, and traveling with friends. In addition to his loving wife and mother, Eric is survived by his children: Jared, husband of Wendy Solomon, Troy Solomon, Jason, husband of Diana Watt, Jarrett Watt and Krista Tatasciore; granddaughter, Chloe Watt; and brother: Jeff, husband of Marsha Solomon, of Cooper City, FL. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 12:00 pm at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, Main Street and Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, with the Chaplain Robyn Evans officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. The family will sit shiva following the memorial service at home, and shiva will continue the following day at sundown into Sunday at the Florida home of Eric's brother.
