Ethel (Tyson) Freece, 96, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at The Meadows at Shannondell where she had last resided. She was the wife of the late C. Allan Freece who passed away in 2007.
She was born in West Point, PA to the late William D. and Leila May Tyson. She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School and was a homemaker and mother.
Ethel was a member of St. Vincent United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Phoenixville Women's Club, Phoenixville Garden Club and Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Robert A. Freece and wife Dorothy, of Naples, FL; Jane E. Rodgers and husband James, of Pleasant Ridge, MI; five grandchildren: Robert D. and Mark A. Freece, James C. and Andrew S. Rodgers and Elizabeth J. Andersen-Rodgers; five great-grandchildren: Caitlyn, Madalyn and Robert Freece, Vianna and Luke Rodgers. She was also predeceased by a brother, Harold Tyson and sister, Pearl Quigg.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main St. at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. Officiating will be Rev.
