Ethel M. (Briel) Rick, 76, wife of the late Charles A. Rick Jr., of Orwigsburg, formerly Limerick, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011, in the Schuylkill Medical Center South, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Lester W. and Eva M. (Wentzel) Briel.

Mrs. Rick was formerly employed at Bally Ribbon Mills, Recticon Corp., and the Limerick Diner. She was a former member of the local chapter of the Twins Club of America and was active at the Orwigsburg Center, where she was President of the Resident Committee. She also enjoyed Bingo and arts and crafts.

Mrs. Rick is survived by: daughters: Darlene K. Rick of Womelsdorf and Donna M. wife of Craig Kamp of Shoemakersville; son: Byron C. husband of Debbie Rick of Pottstown; sisters: Esther wife of Harvey J. Bickhart of Florida, Edith Spencer of Limerick, Jane wife of William R. Rick of Gilbertsville, and Sandra Brewer of Limerick; nine grandchildren: John, Andrew, and Dylan Drost, David T. Duncan, Tori Buchter, Luke and Logan Kamp, and Charles and Joenelle Rick; great grandchildren: Jadyn, Rylee, and Haley Drost, and Ji'aire and Janiyah Rick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister: Eleanor Filipi; and brothers: Lester W. "Jim" and Adam K. Briel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Thursday, February 10, 2011, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
