Ethel L. (Scatchard) Golden, 82, wife of the late Thomas F. Golden, of Royersford, formerly Norristown, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011, in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe. Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Warren R. and Elsie (Shearer) Scatchard.

Mrs. Golden was a mother of seven who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and family events.

Mrs. Golden is survived by five daughters: Lou wife of James Smiley of Limerick, Kathy wife of John Murray of Gilbertsville, Barbara wife of Rick Heim of Exeter, Cheryl Hanson of Trooper, and Jacki wife of Frank Glaser of Birdsboro; two sons: Thomas F. Golden Jr. of Philadelphia and Greg husband of Toni Lee Golden of Douglassville; sister: Elsie Reed of Kimberton; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Scatchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
