Ethel R. "Babe" (Moore) Searfoss, age 95, Wife of the late Arthur H. Searfoss Jr., passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, at her Trappe, PA residence with family by her side. Ethel was born on Aug 24th, 1929, in Weatherly, PA to the late George Albert Moore and Ethel Blanche (Kintz) Moore.

She grew up in Gowen, PA, Luzerne County, a small mining town. She went to elementary school in Fern Glen and Rock Glen High School and then moved to Hazleton. Before retiring, Ethel was a sewing machine operator at Collegeville Flag Company in Collegeville, PA where she made Halloween Costumes and Santa Clause Suits for 34 years. Ethel was a longtime member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ. After working all day, she loved making Bears and Dolls, Doll clothing and Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause. You could always find her at her sewing machine.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Marlene, wife of Robert Thompson, of Graterford, PA, Ess, wife of the late Robert Kehler, of Spring City, PA, Diane, wife of the late James Nettleton, of Trappe, PA, Carla, wife of the late Christopher MacMullen, of Trappe, PA, 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her loving husband of 77 years, Arthur H. Searfoss Jr., her 3 siblings, Mary Derr, Edith Hinkle, Willard Moore, and her Grandson David Stewart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 251 Perkiomen Ave, Schwenksville, PA 19473 on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Adrian J. Tierson. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 10 - 10:45 AM at Heidelberg United Church of Christ.
