Evelyn (Kochenour) Fields, age 87, wife of the late Harry R. Fields, of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Born on July 10, 1933 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Sylvia (Packer) and Revere Kochenour.
Mrs. Fields had been employed as a typist and key punch operator for General Electric in King of Prussia and was a member of Grace Bible Church in Phoenixville, where she often volunteered in the nursery during services. She was a member of the Kimberton Fire Co. Auxiliary, where she could be found making donuts for the annual fair.
A caring and giving woman, Evelyn was always thinking of other people. She never complained and thought of others before herself. She had an immense love for her family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she'd sit with and play for hours.
Mrs. Fields is survived by her sons: Charles L. Fields, and Judy Welsh, of Phoenixville and William L., husband of Marcy Fields, of Spring City; grandsons: Ryan, husband of Danielle Fields, of Pottstown and Matthew Fields, of Devon; and siblings: Betty Yoder, of Dillsburg and George Kochenour, of Halifax. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother: Paul Kochenour.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside Service at Emanuels Cemetery, 1199 Pinetown Road (intersection of Rosstown and Pinetown Roads), Lewisberry, PA, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Howard Haltje. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's name to the Grace Bible Church, 777 Starr Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
