Evelyn A. (Rice) Halteman, 95, wife of the late Wayne S. Halteman, of Royersford, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in the Brightview Assisted Living, East Norriton. Born in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Horning) Rice.

Mrs. Halteman was a lifelong member of Brownback's United Church of Christ where she was active with the Ladies Aid Society and the Quilting Club. She volunteered at Pottstown Hospital for 20 years, volunteered with Project Outreach in Royersford, and was a member of the Major Hollow Home Economics Club.

Mrs. Halteman is survived by one daughter, Saundra J., wife of Clarence Edleman, of Sanatoga, one son, Terry L., husband of Beverlee Halteman, of West Chester, one sister, Janet Peiffer, of Sanatoga, four grandchildren, Rebecca Polandick, Robert Edleman, Deana Nichols, and Jenna Halteman, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Traister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Brownback's United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, Spring City, PA 19475, on Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank L. Lamson. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made in Evelyn's name to the Brownback's United Church of Christ.
