Evelyn F. Raquet, 81, wife of Lloyd "Sonny" Carpenter Jr., of North Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late John and Edwina (Forrest) Stimmel.

She was a graduate of Royersford High School and was employed at Pennhurst and Kids ? Us. As a child, her claim to fame was as a singer on the Uncle Wip Show.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, Evelyn is survived by two sons, William J. Raquet, of Pottstown, and Kevin F. Raquet, of Randolph, NJ, one daughter, Robin A. Kirk, of Spring City, one sister, Phyllis Rosenberger, of Pottstown, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Humane Society at The HSUS, Dept.
