Faye L. Michener, age 77, wife of the late Robert P. Michener, of Oaks, PA, died Friday, April 20, 2018 in Lankenau Hospital. Born on July 12, 1940 in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of Ralph W. Marshall and Betty J. (Smith) Marshall. She was a 1958 graduate of Spring-Ford High School and attended West Chester State Teachers College where she earned her teaching degree. Mrs. Michener worked as a school teacher and an Instructional Assistant for the Spring-Ford Area School District until her retirement in June of 2010. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oaks where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years, a lifetime member of Oaks Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the New Hanover AARP. She enjoyed Genealogy, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Michener is survived by three children, Patricia A. LaCava of Spring City, PA, Kathleen J., wife of Joseph Dankowski of Oaks, PA, James R. Michener, partner of John McLachlan of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Andrew Grant, Kelly LaCava, Eric LaCava, Elizabeth Dankowski and Samantha Dankowski; a Sister, Nancy A. Garber of Blandon, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel K. Olsen. Burial will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 9:45 am Saturday at the Church.
