Ferdinand J. Bedard Jr., 85, husband of Lorraine E. (Dolloff) Bedard, of Parker Ford, formerly Collegeville, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014, in his residence. Born in Laconia, NH, he was a son of the late Frances G. (Webster) and Ferdinand J. Bedard Sr.
Mr. Bedard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ferdinand was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren, whether it was babysitting or attending their sporting, school or musical events. He was a member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church and the American Legion and enjoyed computers and dining out.
In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, Mr. Bedard is survived by his daughters, Valerie, wife of Ted Locker, of Gilbertsville and Vickie, wife of Richard Evans, of King of Prussia; sons, Gerald, husband of Denise Bedard, of Limerick, Steven Bedard, of Pottstown and Lawrence, husband of Linda Bedard, of Collegeville; sister, Madeline Pritchette, of Worcester, MA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Friday, March 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles R. O’Hara. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C.
