Filomena Toussaint, 90, widow of the late Juan Guerrero, of Phoenixville, formerly Boston, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008, in the Phoenixville Hospital.? Born in the Dominican Republic, she was a daughter of the late Jedeon Toussaint and Felito de la Cruz.

Mrs. Toussaint taught second grade in the Dominican Republic.? An Evangelist, Missionary, ?Counselor, and Minister, she co-founded The Good Samaritan Church of Christ in Puerto Rico, before co-founding a sister branch of the Church in the Dominican Republic.? She was a former President of the Women's Ministries of the Assembly of God in Puerto Rico.? After moving to Phoenixville, she co-founded The First Latin American Church of Christ, on Penn Street.?
Mrs. Toussaint is survived by daughters Ines Castro, of Phoenixville, and Martha Guerrero, of Boston, son Julian Guerrero, of Boston, twenty Grandchildren, seventeen Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.? She was preceded in death by her children Felix V. Toussaint, Gladys M. Guerrero, Juan Jesus Guerrero, and step-children, Fabiola Guerrero, Felicia Guerrero, and Julio Guerrero.? ?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 7 PM.? Friends will be received from 6-7 PM.? Officiating will be the Reverends Ines and Jose Castro.? Interment will follow in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Rt. 23, Valley Forge National Park, on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 11 AM.?
