Obituary

Flamur H. "Muli" Subashi, age 62, husband of Susan Lynn "Subina" Davidson, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 11, 1961 in Tiranä, Albania, he was a son of the late Haki and Adile Subashi.

Upon completion of his schooling in Albania, Muli joined the Albanian Army as a trained mechanic. Following his time in the military, he worked as a bus driver, where he gained countless friends due to his friendly demeanor and outgoing personality. Muli was a proud political activist while living in Albania, and during the period of transition, he imported jeans and shirts from Turkey into the country.

Muli immigrated to the United States in 2002 and moved to Philadelphia. In 2009, he made a move to Royersford. That same year, he married his wife, Susan L. "Subina" Davidson, and he established his own company, Subashi Granite Installation. He was also a sub-contractor for Colonial Marble and Granite. He was a passionate and gifted craftsman, a confident and loyal technician and a large piece of the business' success.

Muli enjoyed gardening, growing his own tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini. He also enjoyed going to farms to pick peaches and apples, many of which he shared with family and friends. He was an animal lover, and he had a smart intuition of when he should and should not visit the casino. Most of the time following his instincts paid off. He loved following Formula 1 racing, and he cherished the time spent playing card games with his children and friends at the cafe.

In December of 2020, Muli was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma. Throughout his illness, he was always smiling, never complained, and was strong for himself and his family. Several nurses who helped care for him remarked that he was "such a lovely man, always pleasant and kind whenever he came in for treatment", and that he was "such a sweet, kind man who really fought the hard fight."

In addition to his wife, Muli is survived by two children, Flavia Subashi and Florian, husband of Carly Subashi; two step-children, Taylor Fisher-Gay and Connor Fisher; and eight siblings in Albania.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life at the Trinity Lighthouse Church, 66 S. Limerick Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:15 am. Friends are invited to greet with the family from 10:00 am - 11:15 am that morning in the church.
