Florinda L. (Horning) Smith, wife of the late Wesley C. Smith, Sr., of Jackson, NJ, formerly of West Chester, PA died Monday afternoon, May 11, 2009 in the CentraState Medical Center, Freehold NJ. Born in Union City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Albert A. and Florinda (Dunham) Horning. Mrs. Smith was a Nurse, and a teacher. She was the former librarian at the West Point Military Academy Elementary School. She enjoyed reading and knitting.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons; Wesley C., husband of Diane (Simmons) Smith, of Jackson, NJ, Bradley P. Smith, of Milford, CT.

Graveside services and burial will be held privately in the West Point Cemetery at the United States Military Academy, West Point NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the charity of one's choice.
