Frances A. (McCarthy) Scaia, age 81, wife of Robert G. Scaia of East Coventry, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the Pottstown Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1945, in Torrington, Connecticut.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Fran is survived by her four children: Gloria (Kacey), Robert, Jack (Dayna), and Angie (Dan); nine grandchildren: Chelsea, Isabel, Saige, Robert, Seamus, Bridy, Daniel, Max, and McKenna; two great-grandchildren: Miles and Juniper; sisters: Willette McCarthy, Ingrid Devita, and Monica McGloughlin; and brother: Bill Hower.

Fran was deeply loved and will be remembered for her strength and the fierce love that she gave to her family. She had a way of making people feel cared for and will be missed beyond words.

Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10am-12pm at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.

The family appreciates the love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you cherish time with those you love in Fran's memory.
