Frances E. "Bette" Knapp, age 91, wife of the late Dale A. Knapp Sr., of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on March 19, 1929 in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Helen (Francis) and Elmer Fitzcharles Sr.

Bette had been a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Phoenixville and a lifetime member of the Liberty Fire Co., in Spring City.

Although she could be a feisty woman, she never spoke a bad word about anyone and always found the good in everyone. She would help in anyway she could and would give the shirt off of her back. At one point in her life, she enjoyed her beer and bowling. In her later years living at Parkhouse she enjoyed going out to eat dinner with family and would never turn down a good steak from the Texas Roadhouse and occasional enjoying a Jamaican Cowboy cocktail. The joys of her life were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter.

Bette is survived by her daughters: Cindy L. Rennard, of Birdsboro and Dianna Jurgensen, of Norristown; daughter-in-law: Linda Knapp, of Phoenixville; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Dale A Knapp Jr. and four siblings: Gertha Powell, Elmer Fitzcharles Jr., Ida Mull and Ethel Rupe.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bette's name to the CDC Foundation at www.give4cdcf.org.
