Obituary

Frances J. (Jones) Yerger, age 99, wife of the late S. Paul Yerger, of Harleysville, PA, formerly of Mont Clare, PA and Florida, died early Monday morning, July 18, 2011 in the Peter Backer Community, Harleysville, PA. Born in Limerick, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Hunsberger) Jones. She grew up on a farm in Trappe, PA, and graduated from the Phoenixville High School. Mrs. Yerger worked for the Mont Clare Post Office for 22 years. She was a member of the Green Tree Church of the Brethren for many years. She was active in the children's Sunday school and Bible study. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She enjoyed traveling West by train, taking cruises, visiting Hawaii, and lived in Florida until she moved to the Peter Becker Community.

Mrs. Yerger is survived by one son; Glenn P. Yerger, of Royersford, PA, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two special nieces; Norma Smith and Doris Rearick, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yerger was pre-deceased by one daughter; Nancy Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, P.O. Box 874, Oaks, PA 19456 on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00AM. Officiating will be the Rev. David A. Leiter. Burial will be in the Green Tree Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:45 - 10:45 AM Thursday morning at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Green Tree Church at the above address or to the Peter Becker Community, 800 Maple Avenue, Harleysville, PA 19438.
