Frank E. Barton, age 83, husband of Doris M. (Walleigh) Barton, of West Vincent Township, PA, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on December 31, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio, he was a son of the late Howard T. Barton and Thelma (Goodrich) Minnick.

Mr. Barton served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Spring City, PA, the Spring City American Legion, and the Liberty Fire Company in Spring City. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and bowling. He never missed a year at the shore, and cherished his family trips to Hawaii and Disney World.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Mr. Barton is survived by two children, Cheryl L. Mullins of Boyertown, PA and Charles E. Sr., husband of Denise M. Barton of Spring City, PA; five grandchildren, Alyssa Vize, Charles Barton Jr., husband of Lyndsi, Kelsey Mullins, Shane Barton, and Dayna Barton; three great-grandchildren, Aidrick Vize, Payton Rayburn, and Alethea Vize; and several Step-Siblings and Half-Siblings. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by one brother, Howard T. Barton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Jacqueline A. Hines. Burial will be held in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund at the address above.
