Franklin W. "Skip" Miller, age 82, husband of Patricia E. Miller of Exeter Township, formerly Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at home. Born on April 15, 1941 in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of the late William M. and Emma E. (McCoy) Miller.

Mr. Miller attended Spring-Ford High School. He went on to enlist in the United States Navy, where he served honorably from 1960 - 1964 in the Western Pacific. He worked as a machinist for several shops in the local area until his retirement.

Mr. Miller was motorcycle enthusiast for his entire life, having traveled the country and into Canada with his wife on two-wheels. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time on the Chesapeake at the family home in Perryville, MD. He was also into building and running remote control cars. He was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan, oftentimes planning his schedule around ballgames.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Mont Clare Fire Company, where he served as a driver and one of the first rescue divers in the area. It was at a diving course, that he was assisting with the instruction, that he would meet his eventual wife of 56 years. He served on the Safety Crew at both Pocono Raceway and Maple Grove Raceway. While he was working for Liberty Fire Prevention in Bridgeport, he was part of the team designing and building the first safety trucks for Maple Grove Raceway.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Phoenixville Kiwanis Club and also served as a past-president of the Phoenixville Jaycees, where he was highly involved with the Dogwood Fair.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Miller is survived by two children, Debra J. Townsend, wife of David and Frank W. Miller, companion of Tami Hopple; two granddaughters, Jacquelyn Crabtree and Nicole Knatz, wife of John; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Janet Rothrock, Katherine "Dolly" Yusko, and David Miller.
