Frederick C. Garber, age 83, of Cornwall, PA, formerly North Coventry Township, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 in the Cornwall Manor, Cornwall, PA. Born on August 18, 1941 in Royersford, PA, he was a son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Mae (Donohue) Garber.

Mr. Garber was a 1957 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He attended Penn State University and received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Drexel University.

After graduation, Mr. Garber worked for United Engineers and Constructors, Inc., working on projects that included the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in New York. He would continue on with some consulting work, and eventually founded Garber Detailing, Inc., a structural engineering firm out of Royersford, PA until his retirement.

Mr. Garber was active with the Schuylkill Valley Chapter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation. He was an antique car and sports car enthusiast, owning several of each and taking part in the annual Duryea Day Festival in Boyertown, PA. Mr. Garber was an avid gardener, taking pride in his large gardens throughout the years. He enjoyed cooking as well as collecting a multitude of different things. His love of learning was a lifelong passion, and he even embraced technology throughout his entire lifetime.

Mr. Garber is survived by one sister, Patricia A. Garber; a nephew and niece, Edward R., husband of Deborah L. Kabak and Karen M., wife of Edward J. Krier; a great-niece, Kalli, wife of Kutter Endy; and a great-great niece, Leah. He was preceded in death by siblings Ralph A. Garber and Margaret L., wife of the late Edward J. Kabak.
